Got Candy?
Student Council is collecting unwanted Halloween Candy for Operation Gratitude. Operation Gratitude, sponsored by Hersh Pediatric Dentists, sends candy to troops overseas. Thank you to Student Council for organizing the candy drive and supporting our troops!
All candy is due on 11/5.

Construction on Red Hill Blvd.: 11/11-11/15
There will be significant construction on Red Hill 11/11-11/15 between Edinger and Walnut. Traffic will be reduced to one lane each way. Please take alternate routes to school or plan for longer travel times. Students are expected to arrive on time for school this week; please plan accordingly.

Heritage Elementary STEAM Magnet School Performing Arts Program

Heritage Elementary School is proud to present their 2019-2020 Jr. Broadway Musical Production of ???????????. Well, that will be a secret for now, hope you are as excited as I am to see what it will be. This 90-minute musical will be performed by our own Heritage Aviators. The program can only hold 60 students. Sign ups will be offered to 5th graders first and depending on numbers (keep in mind 60 maximum), the next offering will be to the 3rd/4th grade. In the event that we hit our maximum within 3rd/4th grade, the registrations will be “randomly drawn” by the production company (after registration) and divided equally. Students/families will be notified as soon as possible in enough time for auditions.

  • There is a 60 Student maximum capacity - 1st offered to 5th, then 3rd/4th grade

  • Bravo Permission Slip, Behavior Contract, photo and school activity fee of $150.00 must be turned in at the time of registration (registration will be in front of school)

  • 5th Grade registration will be 11/4-5, Mon. & Tues. at 7:30am/2:30pm

  • 3rd/4th Grade registration will be 11/6-7, Wed. 7:30am/1:15pm & Thurs. 7:30am/2:30pm

  • Auditions will be held on Tues. and Thurs., Dec. 3rd & 5th from 2:45pm-4:45pm

The Heritage Yearbook Committee invites all students to participate in this year’s cover art contest by submitting hand-drawn artwork that represents this year’s theme: This is Our Legacy.

What does being a Heritage Aviator mean to you?

What will you be most proud of when looking back on your time at Heritage?

Entries are due to the main office by 11/22/19. Staff will only choose two designs for the front and back cover; however, every entry will be featured inside the yearbook on our Cover Contest page!


  • Submit art on 8.5” x 11” paper, vertical orientation

  • Use the entire paper and fill in edge to edge with color

  • Use markers only (color pencils and crayons will not show up as well)

  • Include name and grade on lower right corner*

  • Include full name, grade, and teacher’s name on the BACK of the paper

*Entries without a name will not be eligible for the contest.

Front cover winner will receive 1 FREE yearbook!

Kara Nguyen at CA PTA Convention with the CA PTA President and other CA Outstanding Interpretation award winners. She received an expense paid trip to Monterey, CA, $200 Amazon Gift Card and $200 Scholarship.


Heritage Aviators! We want your photos!

We are starting to collect photos for the Heritage Yearbook 2019-2020!

Please email photos to aviatorsyearbook@gmail.com for a chance to have your photo be featured in the yearbook.

The Yearbook Committee is currently accepting photo submissions from Trunk or Treat, Red Ribbon Week, Recycling Day, and Dino Dash. The deadline to submit photos for these events is 11/30.

* Please submit non-blurry, high-resolution (over 1MB) photos only. Photos that are blurry or low-resolution will not be considered. Please remember that all eligible photos are considered, but not all can be used due to the volume of photos received per event.
