Heritage Weekly News - September 8, 2019

Dear Aviator families,

Regular attendance is essential to your student’s success in school and a priority at Heritage. Prompt arrival at school is expected of all students; children should arrive at school between 7:45 and 7:55, as school begins at 8:00. Late arrival disrupts class and causes loss of instructional time. Any student who arrives at school after the starting time is considered tardy and must be admitted through the office. Early release of students is disruptive to the learning environment and is acceptable only in the case of illness or a medical appointment.

To support excellent attendance, Tustin Unified is partnering with Data Impressions & Microsoft to highlight students who model outstanding attendance. Data Impressions and Microsoft have generously donated 30 Microsoft Surface Go (or similar) devices to continue the TUSD attendance incentive program into a fifth year! One computer will be given away at the end of the school year at every school site in TUSD. All students who maintain outstanding daily attendance at TUSD’s schools will have a chance to win! See the attached flyer at the bottom for details.

Reminder: Please do not send your child’s food to school in glass containers. We have had a number of containers shatter at lunch which creates a safety hazard for our children. Thank you for your support to keep all our students safe.

See you tomorrow,
Mrs. RB
