Heritage Weekly News - August 18, 2019

Dear Aviator families,

Thank you to all our families who attended Wednesday’s Back to School Night. Your support of the students and school curriculum is impressive. Also, a big thank you for all your support during arrival and dismissal. The parking lot and campus are running smoothly with the support of all our parent community. A special thank you to the parent ambassadors, Carline Crew, and fifth grade ambassadors who are helping before and after school!

Did you know that Heritage has a PE teacher on Wednesdays? Coach Steve Kelly is an elementary PE teacher who rotates between five schools in Tustin Unified. Thank you to our PTA and all our parents who have supported PTA Fundraising efforts-- the Heritage PE program is funded completely by our PTA. Please be sure your scholar wears sneakers on Wednesdays. Students are welcome to wear hats as well. Our Aviators are loving PE Wednesdays!

*Please let your child know if they will be picked up in the car line, back gate, or walking gate daily. It is helpful if your child has a consistent pick-up location and eases their stress after school.

See you tomorrow,
Mrs. RB

Extended day kindergarten provides our young students time to grow socially in a developmentally safe setting. This week our students began “purposeful play” which are play-based exploration stations, such as blocks, art, housekeeping, and hands-on creative play. In these pictures, Mrs. Franco (right) and Mrs. Johnson (left) are supporting play and language development with their kindergarten friends.
